We raise and nurture our pets and they basically become part of our family. Some come into our homes young and tiny just like human babies. We watch their fast growth into adulthood. However, certain pets grow past what is considered their average adult size and take it to another level. In fact some pets grow so big, they break world records!
Check out some of the world's biggest pets below. You'll be surprised just how tall and/or heavy they are. You may also be surprised what kind of pets have actually gained these titles.
#1. Giant George: 43 inch tall and 245 pound Great Dane from Arizona.
George was ironically the runt of his litter but eventually grew and surpassed not only his siblings but every other dog in existence. In 2010, Guinness World Records not only recognized him as the world’s tallest dog but the tallest dog ever.
#2. Darius: 52 inch and 49 pound rabbit from the UK.
Darius consumes a total of 2,000 carrots and 700 apples per year. Darius’ son (Jeff) has also grown very big at 44 inches long and is expected to eventually dwarf his father.
