Growing up as a kid, a lot of situations and events happen. And as much as we would love to, we don't necessarily remember every single detail of our lives. You're lucky if you can even remember the entire events of one day. This is where diaries come into place.
With diaries, you get to jot down anything and everything you want. It's your own personal book containing your own personal thoughts. You can record the events of each day or you can record just the days that are significant to you. You can vent about the people who frustrate you and you can praise and write wonderful things about the people you love or look up to.
Owning a diary is a great way to express one's feelings and thoughts, especially if one doesn't feel comfortable sharing these feelings and/or thoughts with anyone else.
If you're still not convinced, here are a few more reasons below as to why you should keep a diary.
#1. You can write honestly about how you really feel about everything and everyone.
Like what you love and what you hate, no matter how random the two are from each other.
#2. Where you can openly insult your siblings without getting in trouble with your parents.
What does 1% being allowed in your room entail?
#3. They're there for you when you painfully realize your favorite TV character has an actual life outside that role.
Who is Miley Cyrus? She is Hannah Montana.
#4. You can pour out your rage about certain people.
You’re so annoying, Drew. Get a life.
#5. They're there for you when you need to make a memorial to your pets.
Some emotions are too much for words.
