Rio De Janeiro is one of the most populous cities in South America. Many of its residents live, quite literally, on top of one another, their houses and businesses built up against the hills that slope down into the sea.
Though crowded, Rio still holds the title of being one of the most beautiful cities in the world. In fact, many Brazilians say that God created the world in six days, and devoted the seventh to Rio. The landscape is breathtaking, boasting not only the famous Sugarloaf Mountain and the Corcovado statue, but also lush greenery and beautiful beaches with bright white sand that stretches for miles.
This timelapse video, shot in a stunning 10K resolution, showcases all of the beauty that this magical city has to offer. Shot over the course of many hours (with some looped footage, as well), the video gives you an amazing look into both the energy and serenity of living there – It's no surprise that Brazilians have nicknamed this city ""Cidade Maravilhosa," or, "The Marvelous City."
