Last year, I was staying at a friend's apartment for a long weekend. When we got home from dinner, he told me he was going to change his clothes. He emerged from his bedroom, wearing sweatpants and holding his jeans. Before I had a chance to process what was happening, he folded his jeans neatly and put them in the freezer.
I briefly considered calling his mother and telling her he had finally lost it, but before I could, he explained the situation. Since then, I've learned a lot about how to handle my Levi's, and it turns out that caring for them extends well beyond keeping them out of a hot dryer.
