Personally, I don't think I have a makeup addiction – I think of it as a loyal commitment to the world of beauty. If you ask my roommates, though, it might be a different story. After all, they see my makeup everywhere: Stacked up on the counter, hanging out on shelves, and sitting on every available surface. That's the trouble with having so much makeup – it takes up a lot of space.
Well, this DIY might change all that.
Below, one creative makeup lover has come up with a way to efficiently store makeup so it's clean, organized, and out of the way. And the best part? It's super simple.
You just need a few supplies, starting with a magnetic chalkboard. You can pick one of these up for very little money at Target.
If you're not into the plain black background, you can also buy some wrapping paper to spice it up.
And you will also need a set of magnets.
Maybe you even have a little helper to assist you.
Measure the wrapping paper to fit on the cutting board.
Then, use Mod Podge or glue to attach it. Be careful: As you can see, it's easy for the paper to bubble up. Try using as little glue as possible.
Here's what the chalkboard will look like when you're done.
Now it's time to superglue your magnets to the back of your makeup.
Now comes the fun part: Slap all your newly-magnetized makeup onto the chalkboard.
Finally, hang it up on the wall in your room or bathroom. Your makeup will be neat, organized, and free from your roommates' death glares.
