Rejection hurts, especially after you've finally mustered up the courage to ask someone out, and although it may feel like it, it's not the end of the world.
One of the first things you wonder is why? What did I do wrong? What could I have done differently?
In most cases, you probably haven't done anything wrong. You might have fallen for the right person, just at the wrong time. And sometimes, it really is them, not you. That's fate.
It's also difficult for the person doing the rejecting, because they might not feel comfortable enough with you to explain why.
If you're curious, you'll find 18 reasons — some more bizarre than others — behind why some girls have rejected guys. These reasons were posted on the Whisper app, where users post "whispers," or texts superimposed over an image, that reveal their true thoughts.
#1. When fear is greater than loneliness.
What’s there to be scared about? We make decisions based on experience, not just our own experiences, but those of our friends and family, too.
The thought of your significant other dissing your (furry) best friend is a big turn off. When you put in so much of your time caring for a pet, any offense aimed at your cat or dog feels like a direct insult. You don’t have to like all the same things, but respect for the things, or entities, you love is a must.
#3. The D.
We understand that size is a very sensitive matter, but it really matters to some people. But fear not! According to a study published by UCLA and Cal State LA, 84 percent of women are more than fine with their partner’s penis size. The study reflected data from over 27,000 women.
#4. Insecurities run deep.
This can happen for a number of reasons. Some girls have had bad, even traumatic, experiences with men that resulted in hurt and distrust. It can also be difficult to believe that some guys are genuine when they make a move, because so many of them just want to play around.
#5. Just too nervous.
There’s a lot of pressure on that first date, especially if you’ve never been on one!
